We are restoring the East & West cemeteries in Liebling, Romania – as a dignified resting place for our ancestors and a place of remembrance for Lieblingers all over the world.

Care belongs in the hands of the community.
Liebling Friedhof n.e.V. is a non-profit association dedicated to restoring, preserving and maintaining the neglected cemeteries in Liebling.
As the funds available to the church are no longer sufficient to maintain the cemeteries, we take responsibility – and give our ancestors the resting place they deserve.
• Restoration and repair, so that the graves can be reached once again.
• Regular care and lasting preservation of the grounds.
• Dignity and respect for our ancestors – through well-kept resting places.
Our History
The idea of founding the association was born out of necessity: when Peter Bliedung visited the cemetery in September 2022, its overgrown state made it impossible to reach his family’s graves.
The East and West cemeteries are not only the final resting place of our ancestors, but also places of remembrance and of connection with our roots – even though Lieblingers are at home all over the world today.
