Liebling Friedhof n.e.V. is a non-profit association dedicated to the restoration,
Dedicated to the preservation and care of the neglected cemeteries in Liebling, Romania.
In LR 140 – June 2023, Waltraut Eberle called for donations for the church and cemeteries. A detailed renovation schedule was created by Waltraut Eberle for the church, but not for the cemeteries.
That is why we have taken it upon ourselves to place the care of the cemeteries into the hands of the community and to provide our ancestors with the respectful resting place they deserve.

The idea to found the association "Liebling Friedhof West n.e.V." was born out of necessity.
It came about when Peter Bliedung, a resident of Liebling, Gemeindegasse Nord, house no. 583 (formerly 528), visited the cemetery in September 2022 and discovered that, due to its overgrown condition, he was unable to access the graves.
This experience made it clear how urgently a dedicated initiative for the restoration and upkeep of the cemeteries was needed.
The East and West cemeteries in Liebling are not only the final resting place of our ancestors, but also a place of remembrance and connection to our history and roots.
By restoring and preserving the cemeteries, we help ensure that future generations have the opportunity to remember those who came before us and to honor our roots.
Rightly so, the church is remembered as the center of the village and of Christian life.
Amid all this, we must not forget those who, through hard work and personal sacrifice, made it possible and kept it alive.

Even though the people of Liebling have now found homes all around the world, we must not forget what we owe our ancestors in Liebling:

Thanks to the support of many helpful individuals, we were able to carry out important initial work at the cemetery to restore it to a well-maintained condition. Their donations made it possible to secure old gravestones, clean the paths, and beautify the surroundings.
We have documented the progress made so far to show you what we have achieved together. These insights demonstrate how valuable your support is and that there is still much work ahead of us.
